I remember being surprised at the time, and also when I played it, but I think I was swayed by the pretties and the game itself did have some flaws. For me, the one that springs out is Nexus. I remember Gary Liddon's rant about the packaging being hilarious.PaulEMozhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15094549849149150860noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4188836070422359874.post-40575211267026258462012-07-14T00:27:42.443-07:002012-07-14T00:27:42.443-07:00I vaguely recall the ZZap!64 review of Ghosts'...I vaguely recall the ZZap!64 review of Ghosts'n'Goblins (issue 17). I think the mention of a knight in spotty boxer shorts was quite funny. However, the review of Thalamus' Delta is the one I recall. The 74% (or was it 76%) rating all came down to the contentious issue of needing to select the correct weapon at the correct time to progress. I think Rignall and Liddon were positive, but Penn was not. In retrospect, I think Gary was right but at the time I remember wondering how he could have stopped Delta from getting the Sizzler that it deserved. Has there ever been better music or a parallax star-field?dai_boneheadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01716650761132761768noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4188836070422359874.post-35834351709303907202012-07-10T14:05:32.389-07:002012-07-10T14:05:32.389-07:00I remember a lot of years ago I mentioned that I h...I remember a lot of years ago I mentioned that I had an idea for a book (but not what it was... it was this one), and Andy said, "Collaboration!". He would be awesome to have on board for the Spectrum side of this, but I think he's got a lot on his plate at the moment as far as writing goes...PaulEMozhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15094549849149150860noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4188836070422359874.post-8501434468367811432012-07-09T18:19:30.463-07:002012-07-09T18:19:30.463-07:00Being far too lazy to trawl through the DVD I boug...Being far too lazy to trawl through the DVD I bought of every Zzap review ever done I've turned to one review I disagreed with immensely as the intrepid reviewer slates a game I loved. It is a great read and despite the fact that I love the game to bits, I also love the review, written with humour, authority and SOUL.

Wizball (C64) by Ahchay on WotR.

Though no review will ever beat the one done by Sickers on Robotron. But you wanted C64 and Speccie....

Hey there's an idea - interview Andy for the book.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13814165939605676012noreply@blogger.com
